Poetry while you Wait

My name is Shannon Monaghan. I am 24 years old- and I feel like an old soul. I have been priveleged to travel and forge my own path through life. I have passed out of society filled with conditioning and expectation to create my own beautiful reality.

When I am home in New Orleans I spend most of my time writing on Frenchmen Street- otherwise you can find me at the coffeeshop, people watching by the river, or riding my bike through the city.

When I am travelling, I enjoy riding freight trains, hitchhiking, wilderness/urban camping, and busking. My favorite places to visit are the Umpqua Hot Springs in Oregon, Black Rock City in Nevada, Asheville North Carolina, and San Francisco California.

I visit my hometown for a few months out of every year to spend time with my Grandmother. During that time I also connect with Philadelphia friends and events within the regional burn network.
